Second Visit:
This visit was more impromptu; but with the clock ticking on this location, we felt we had to jump on the opportunity. We felt the visit ended-up being more than worth the time!
Second investigation:
Date: June 5, 2011
Time: 6:45 – 8:30pm
Weather: Partly sunny, 10-15 mph winds, warm; in the 80’s
Investigators: Dennis and Angela.
Equipment: Three Sony digital recorders, a K2 meter, and a Kodak Easy Share CX7300 camera.
Ambient Noise: same as first investigation, without the cat-calling
Investigation:
(Recorders were placed in locations similar to the first investigation.)
The second floor, again, seemed to be the center of the activity. The majority of the investigation was spent between the second floor landing, and the northwest corner room of the second floor.
Audible sounds (aside from the established ambient noise) were sparse; there were a few noises that seemed to come from outside the house - that could not be readily explained or attributed to ambient sources.
An EVP captured on this investigation manifests itself as a brief, high-pitched vocalization/yell; it occurs multiple times. One of the stationary recorders seemed to capture what could be perceived as movement in front of - or on - one of the stationary recorders. The most compelling EVP captured during this investigation was captured on a stationary recorder placed at the second floor landing; it seems to manifest itself as an older woman’s voice clearly speaking words. Investigators reviewing the recording noted that the sparrows that nested in the building seemed to become more animated before an EVP is heard.
An unusual experience during this investigation is what both investigators present felt was a “conversation” that occurred in the northwest corner room of the second floor. A K2 meter was being used while asking some standard questions; the investigators felt they were getting clear responses. Investigators posed questions such as age, gender, etc. The responses, based on the observed reactions of the K2 meter, lead investigators to believe that they were communicating with an adult woman who was in existence prior to the hotel’s construction, who preferred to remain where she was; she did not feel trapped.
The investigators reported no visual anomalies, although an orb did appear in one photo taken in the northwest corner room of the second floor.

Below is quite a compelling EVP, captured in one of the hallways during the second visit to the site; you listen and decide if you hear anything other than Dennis and the birds.
